WindFarm Frodsham

Cheetham Hill Construction Ltd (CHC) has been contracted to manage the engineering, design, construction and installation of civil infrastructure for Frodsham Wind Farm. 

The entire wind farm is covered by a Habitat Creation & Management Plan (HCMP) that was prepared as part of the planning application. The HCMP is reviewed every quarter by a management group that involves the RSPB, Natural England, the Council, tenant farmers and local bird watching groups. 

Frodsham Wind Farm Limited (FWF) will be providing £120,000 every year that the wind farm operates for the local community. Over the life of Frodsham Wind Farm this will amount to £3,000,000. 

The Project will be used for:

  • Improvements to the physical, social or educational environment of an area

  • Energy conservation projects such as improving the thermal performance of old buildings Capital projects that will endure beyond the lifespan of the wind farm.
