WIND FARM PROPOSAL

In February 2010 Peel Group submitted an application for Wind Farm which is to be located in direct relation to the Frodsham Marshes. The project comprises of 20 wind turbines which after further amend- ments were reduced to 19, and a substation located to the south of Gristole Lane. MERSEY TIDAL POWER

Feasibility Study took place in June 2011. Mersey Estuary has one of the largest tidal range in UK, making it one of the best location for power generation. It has the potential to make significant con- tribution to secure 15% of UK energy from renewable resources by 2020.
